ABA works best when it's not alone

At Whole Child Therapy, our goal is to support your child in every area of growth. While ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a powerful tool for building skills, reducing challenging behaviors, and increasing independence, we have seen that the best outcomes happen when ABA is combined with Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy (OT), and Mental Health services.

Each therapy brings unique expertise, but when they work together, they multiply one another’s impact. Speech Therapy gives children the words, structure, and confidence to communicate; OT builds the motor and sensory foundations needed for daily living; Mental Health therapy supports emotional regulation and resilience; and ABA provides the structure, reinforcement, and practice to make those skills stick.

By collaborating across disciplines, goals are not taught in isolation but reinforced in multiple ways, in multiple settings. For example, a communication skill introduced in Speech can be practiced during ABA sessions throughout the week, while an emotional regulation strategy from Mental Health therapy can be strengthened with the daily consistency of ABA. This overlap creates more opportunities for success and ensures progress carries over into everyday life.

In short, by combining therapies, we make sure your child is supported as a whole person—not just in one area at a time, making your child's growth not only faster but more meaningful, well-rounded, and lasting.
